Anger ManagementBy Chris Carney
Aaron Lewis is angry; again. I hear what you’re saying. This is nothing new, but this time we may be the beneficiaries. Lewis, the famed Grammy winning singer/songwriter/chief curmudgeon of Staind, feeds of emotions. You can hear it in his voice, you can feel it in his lyrics and if you venture out on Sept. 27th, you can see it in the man.
Lewis, upset over the lack of reaction to Staind’s last album vented.
"I think nobody cares [about Staind] anymore. We don't wear jeans that are our sister's, and we don't wear our hair purposely messed up … and we don't hit our snare drum 500 times in one song.”
It is easy to understand the frustration. We’ve all felt it, and many of us. that have spent money at a venue featuring a girl pants wearing band, have fed Lewis’ anger. And bravo to us, because Lewis is one of those guys who feeds on anger, who rises above mediocrity when annoyed and performs his best when his emotions get the better of him.
So hope that Aaron Lewis is still pissed off, he channels that energy into his performance and maybe, just maybe, you’ll see him smash his acoustic guitar in a fit of musical rage.
